I’ve been “off the air” for a little while as I was concentrating on exploring rather than writing. In the last few weeks I’ve been busy doing the following: exploring parts of the Majella I hadn’t seen before Abruzzo We’re still in August and with the temperatures touching 30 degrees, a trip to the beach is never too far from the minds of the Abruzzese. If they are lucky enough to live close by, they can walk or cycle, but judging by the availability of parking spaces, most people drive. [...] The first time I visited Abruzzo I stayed in Francavilla al Mare in the Chieti province. It is a small seaside town, which acts as a good base for exploring the rest of Abruzzo.
