I don’t speak fluent Italian. I don’t even come close. My grammar is suspect and my pronunciation can be way off. But I’m better at communicating in Italian now then I was six months ago. In fact I’m probably better now than I was three months ago. I haven’t formally studied in a school, or focused on “teach yourself” [...] I don’t know much about the band Terre Del Sud other than they were formed in 2003 when a group of friends with an interest in reproducing traditional music of Southern Italy got together. I picked that up from their website. But I feel I know a bit more about them than their basic bio and that’s because [...] As I type this I’m listening to Canti Popolari by La Voce del Gran Sasso. No shortage of accordions here plus maybe a tambourine or two. This is definitely folk music from Abruzzo. From looking at their website it looks like the ages of the musicians and singers range from 7 to 14 years. At least [...] |
