On the desk beside me is The Guide to Cross-Country Skiing, published by Abruzzo Promozione Turismo Regionale. It’s written by Stefano Ardito who appears to have written many books on mountaineering (assuming it is the same Stefano Ardito). Confession time: I know very little about skiing. The following day, Thursday 28th May, stage [...] A treat for sports fans – The XVI Mediterranean Games takes place from 26 June to 5 July 2009 in some of the most beautiful locations in the Abruzzo region.
